Marcelo Brozovic, like the other teammates engaged today with their respective national teams (Perisic, De Vrij, Dumfries, Calhanoglu, Skriniar, Dzeko), will return tomorrow to Pinetina. Officially for private reasons but the presence at his side of the family’s trusted lawyer (as anticipated yesterday by Tuttosport) suggests that in the coming days there will be a meeting with the Inter management to discuss Marcelo’s contract renewal. The parties, to tell the truth, are not very close (but not too far) but there is the will to try to find an agreement to extend the relationship beyond the next deadline of June 2022.

On the other hand, time is running out because this being the case in four months Brozovic he may find himself in a position to agree with other clubs as a free agent. Inter consider the Croatian who arrived in Milan in January 2015 as one fundamental pawn: it was with Spalletti before and with Conte then and still is with Inzaghi thanks to the unique characteristics of the Nerazzurri squad, a low playmaker, an excellent setter, an interdict if necessary and a marathoner’s lungs.
