Inter, Barella out until the break: strained rectus femoris

Bad news for Simone Inzaghi. Coming out of Sunday evening’s derby in a bad way, Nicolò Barella he underwent instrumental tests which revealed a distraction to the rectus femoris of the right thigh. The former Cagliari player will therefore be forced to stop for a couple of weeks and will have to miss three matches.

Barella will certainly not be available to Inzaghi for the championship matches against Udinese (Saturday 28) and Turin (5 October) interspersed with the Champions League match against Red Star on 1 October. He will therefore not even be able to respond to the call-up to the national team for the October matches against Belgium (10 October) and Israel (14 October). This is the text of the statement from the Nerazzurri club: “Nicolò Barella he underwent clinical-instrumental tests this morning at the Humanitas Institute in Rozzano. For the Nerazzurri midfielder, a strain on the rectus femoris of his right thigh. His condition will be re-evaluated next week.”
