The Inter Academy for girls and boys
The press release announcing the signing of the agreement explains how the collaboration between the club and the Saudi government is not limited to a single project, but is the beginning of a close commercial collaboration, which could include consultancy for the development of Saudi football and promotion of Made in Italy in the kingdom. The first step is the creation of an Inter Academy in Arabia, to introduce girls and boys to the game of football.
Antonello: “We will bring expertise to sport”
For Alessandro Antonello, managing director of the club’s Corporate area, “it is a great satisfaction to be the first international football club to obtain the license from the Ministry of Investment, which will allow us to collaborate with local companies to bring our experience and our knowledge on the development of the world of sport, contributing to the achievement of the objectives of Vision 2030”. And Javier Zanetti, vice-president of Inter, comments: “Since our first visit here to Saudi Arabia, we have been struck by the passion that young people have for our Club”.
The Super Cup in Riyadh in January
From 2 to 6 January 2025, Inter will be in Riyadh to play in the quadrangular tournament that will award the Italian Super Cup, challenging Juventus, Milan and Atalanta. The formula is the same as last January, when Inter, Napoli, Fiorentina and Lazio competed in the capital. In the final against Napoli the Nerazzurri won, beating Napoli.
