Hanover – The FC St. Pauli used that Bundesliga-Free time to give many players who otherwise haven’t been able to get too many minutes a chance to play. In an intensive test, the Kiezkickers lost 2:3 at Hannover 96.
Double banks is not enough
St. Pauli dominated the game, there were real chances to score early on on both sides. With the 1-0 win for Hamburg, the individual class prevailed. Scott Banks played a one-two with Johannes Eggestein and crowned his action, which started in his own half, with the opening goal. Hannover equalized, but again it was Banks who scored for the Bundesliga club. After the 2-1 win, the St. Paulians’ performance got worse. Consequently, 96 was successful twice more and won the game 3-2. By the way, things won’t get any easier for the Hanseatic people in the upper house. The brown-whites will next visit last year’s Champions League finalists Borussia Dortmund.
