CITY OF PUEBLA, Pue. – The state government, through the Ministry of Health, informs that in 49 medical units the Intensive State Day of Anti-Rabies Vaccination will remain in force, since the biological one is about to end, since there is a projected goal of one million 202 thousand 031 dose and is about to be fulfilled.
Due to the above, the present government of Sergio Salomón urges the people of Puebla to take their pets (dogs and cats) to any of these vaccination points between 08:00 and 14:00.
In this sense, the head of the Health Services, José Antonio Martínez García, recalled that the rabies vaccine is applied to healthy animals from the first month of age, while pets that are three and six months old will need to be given a booster and, subsequently, it will be necessary to do it every year with canines and cats
It should be remembered that Puebla has been without human rabies for 23 years and for 13 years without a record of the disease in dogs and cats, therefore the importance of protecting domestic pets and thus avoiding cases in the state.
