Intel has announced its new chips at the same time that Acer and Lenovo are the first to release press releases about new notebooks with the Core Ultra CPU.

Updated, 4:40 p.m.:

Intel has officially revealed Meteor Lake, the nickname for Core Ultra CPUs. Check out the highlights of the clip below, in addition to the company’s “AI everywhere” venture. Besides AI, Intel boasts that the new chip is better in all areas: computing, graphics, CPU performance and battery life.

Meteor Lake is built with Intel’s “3D performance hybrid” architecture in combination with a 4 nm. process.

The Intel Core Ultra laptop family is the first built on Intel 4 process technology and the first to benefit from the company’s biggest change in 40 years, delivering Intel’s most power-efficient client processor and ushering in the age of AI PCs. The AI PC represents the biggest transformation of the PC experience in 20 years, since the launch of Intel Centrino laptops to connect to Wi-Fi from anywhere.
