We have come so far that we are already fighting over processor prices before the processors themselves have even been announced and hit the stores. Rumors for now indicate that Intel has sent out information to partners about processor price hikes.
This information comes from at least two large retailers in Germany, who claim to have received a warning from Intel about the prices of new Intel processors coming in the fall, as well as price increases for existing processor models. As such, the price hike could affect Alder Lake, Raptor Lake and the yet-to-be-released Raptor Lake Refresh, as well as the Meteor Lake processor series. It is said that Intel could increase processor prices by up to 20%. It is difficult to judge the prices of Intel Meteor Lake, since these processors have not yet been officially released.
Intel, for its part, strongly states that it has not sent any letters to cooperation partners. At the same time, Intel was not ready to provide any additional information about the new processors or the prices of existing processors.
Intel plans to announce the new processors sometime in September or October.
