US semiconductor giant Intel plans to build two more factories in Europe. It is thus negotiating with leading European politicians and looking for a place where it would like to expand production in the future. Germany, France or Poland are at stake.

The company currently operates a single factory in Europe, in the Irish city of Leixlip. Part of its production capacity with 14nm lithography wants to be reserved in the near future for the automotive industry. Carmakers are currently plagued by a shortage of chips, so Intel will help giant corporations operating on the old continent.
Gelsinger also stated that he would like to build two new factories in Europe, to which he would pump up to $ 95 billion in the next decade. It is speculated that he would like to build in Germany, France or Poland. However, the location will be decided mainly by investment incentives of individual governments.
