Intel Core Ultra 9 285K: price and availability

With a launch price of $589, the blue house option seems affordable compared to AMD’s top of the range, which currently costs around €670. However, the choice also depends on the platform you use.
If we already have a compatible AM5 motherboard ready to support the Ryzen 9, it may not be convenient to switch to Intel, since in addition to the cost of the processor, we would also have to buy a new motherboard, given that Intel has changed socket and chipset compared to the generation previous.
