Singer Intars Busulis visited the “When they meet” studio. Not afraid to talk about the worst, but at the same time the most instructive moments of his life, it was revealed that Busulis lived with his family for half a year in terrible conditions near Grīziņkalns.
“We have been living in a house where we take care of a woman for at least half a year. Her grandson also lived there,” the talented musician shares his memories of staying together in the same room with his wife and son Lenny. “In order not to pay rent, we cleaned the area. When the mother passed away, her son went to live elsewhere, and we were left alone in the apartment,” Intars Busulis knows how to tell.
Unfortunately, the owner of the house, being the daughter of the deceased woman, turned off the heat for all residents. “One day there was a very bad frost and all of a sudden the radiators exploded all over the house; also with us, where in the next room [agrāk] lived [aizgājušās sievietes] grandson. It was unrealistic to collect and clean anything there, so we simply closed the door, wrapped everything with blankets and blankets and lit the fireplace. The next morning, we opened the window and threw the ice cubes out,” the singer recalls.
According to Busulis, the landlady was not going to correct the situation: “She didn’t care at all.”
