Almost every Latvian knows the local musician Intar Busulis, as he occupies a place among the classics of Latvian music. Like all of us, Busulis has also experienced significant changes in appearance over time, so the “1188.lv” portal offers a look back at how the singer looked from the distant 2005 until today.
Busulis started his career in Raimonda Tigula’s group “Caffe”, with which he participated in the 2002 national Eurovision selection “Eurosong”. At that time, Marija Naumova won both the contest and the Eurovision itself with the song “I Wanna”.
Later, Busulis managed to get to the Eurovision stage, winning “Eurosong” in 2009 and representing Latvia with the song “Sastrēgums” (in Russian – “Пробка”).
He gained wider popularity by winning the “New Wave” in 2005, which opened up various career opportunities.
Busulis has also won the “Golden Microphone” award several times – in 2016 in the nomination “Concertieraksts”, and in 2018 – in the nominations “Pop Music Album” and “Album of the Year”.
He was also well-received in “Music Bank” – in 2008 with the now well-known song “Brivdiena”, in 2017 the song “Nākamā pietura – depot” was recognized as the most valuable song of that year, as well as in 2020, when he won Busulis’ song “Dancing loneliness”.
