The president of the Professional Association of Insurance Companies of Burkina (APSAB), also Managing Director of SUNU Assurances IARD-Burkina Faso, Monhamed JI Compaoré, and a APSAB delegation, were received on August 24, 2021, in audience by the Minister of Communication and Relations with Parliament, government spokesperson, Ousséni Tamboura. The president of the APSAB and his team went to present to the Minister, the sector of activity which is theirs and, the guideline according to which, insisted Mr. Compaoré, the Association participates in the development of Burkina Faso. The occasion making the thief, the pillars of the APSAB gathered the advice of the boss of the Communication department, to “communicate well on their products and services with the beneficiaries of the insurance contracts”.
The delegation of the Professional Association of Insurance Companies of Burkina (APSAB), led by its president Monhamed JI Compaoré, met on Tuesday August 24, 2021, the Minister of Communication and Relations with Parliament, spokesperson for the government, Ousséni Tamboura. The purpose of this visit was, according to President Monhamed JI Compaoré, to present the members of the executive committee to the Minister and to ask for his support and his accompaniment in order to be able to “communicate well on their products and services to the beneficiaries of the contracts of assurance”.
According to Monhamed JI Compaoré, this meeting served as an opportunity for Minister Ousséni Tamboura to get to know more “our association, which enabled him to measure the weight of our contribution to the national economy”.
For the first person in charge of the Association, this visit was important for their organization. Monhamed Compaoré, who is also the managing director of Sunu Assurances IARD Burkina Faso, acknowledged that the insurance sector is facing a problem of ignorance of its products. “We have come to the Minister to ask for his support and accompaniment in order to be able to communicate effectively on our products and services to the beneficiaries of the insurance contracts”, declared Mr. Compaoré.
“We have this essential role to make ourselves better known, to work on our visibility and to ensure that our notoriety improves with the satisfaction of our customers, through the quality of our services”, continued the president of the ‘APSAB. It is always in this logic that the APSAB, in the new dynamic which this new office gives it, intends to carry out awareness-raising and information campaigns which will “bring the beneficiaries to better understand the vital issues of this sector in their lives. daily and to adhere to their products ”.
Several other subjects were discussed with Minister Tamboura, including education through extensive communication campaigns with the authorities, awareness-raising activities on public security, the project to organize the States General of insurance in relation to the guardianship, etc.
The minister did not fail to invite insurers to take a particular interest in the National Economic and Social Development Plan II (PNDES II), to anticipate opportunities to improve the insurance penetration rate. in Burkina Faso.
The APSAB is a non-profit organization which brings together 17 insurance companies. Its objectives, among others, are the promotion and development of insurance in Burkina Faso and therefore constitutes a melting pot that allows companies to establish constructive collaboration between them.
