Insurance Product Specialist, Affinity

Together, we form a team that is unique in Canada, and we specialize in designing insurance solutions for large clients or organizations with a large number of members who do not operate in the insurance industry (eg, financial institutions, retailers, associations, tourism industry suppliers). These insurance solutions, in which we participate with a view to their implementation or improvement for our clients, are intended to complement the basic products and services offered by these organizations belonging to the Affinity sector. These solutions are also complements to the related strategies that these organizations use to achieve the main objectives of their commitment to their customers or members, and to ensure the growth of their business (among other objectives). As an insurance product specialist within our industry, you will act as the primary resource person to conduct market research and provide support to the insurance advisory services teams. Thus, you will be called upon to work in various insurance sectors and to participate in the implementation of unique solutions in a constantly evolving market.

We are looking for a qualified person, able to work both as a team and independently in order to support numerous research and advisory services mandates. In particular, the incumbent will be called upon to analyze data and provide market intelligence to assist senior advisors in carrying out their mandates relating to integrated credit card insurance or travel insurance, as well as than in other main branches of insurance. The ideal person for this position will have experience in the insurance sector and will also know the products offered by the Affinity sector.

Responsibilities

• Review insurance and marketing documents (in English and French);

• Participate in research related to the production of quarterly and annual reports on the insurance market which are published for subscribers in the financial sector;

• Document changes that have occurred during prescribed periods in the supervised insurance markets;

• Provide the necessary support for various consulting mandates, including the preparation of comparative product data and PowerPoint presentations, drawing on market data and working as a team with colleagues;

• Participate in the design of research and presentation documents intended for potential clients;

• Participate in the tendering process;

• Perform administrative tasks, as required.

Requirements

• University diploma

• Bilingualism (English and French)

• Excellent organizational skills, resourcefulness and attention to detail

• Research skills (to collect data on consumers, competitors as well as the market)

• Great analytical and reasoning skills

• Effective time management skills, including the ability to simultaneously manage multiple mandates and work independently

• Excellent oral and written communication skills to interact effectively with clients and colleagues

• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office suite software (Word, Excel and PowerPoint, in particular)

Other important assets

• Working knowledge of insurance vocabulary

• Experience in managing insurance products, managing claims or operating an insurance company call center

• Experience in travel insurance or integrated credit card insurance industry
