Eighteen Ivorian technicians, graduates of the Professional Insurance Training Center (CFAP, promotion 2017-2019), received their parchments on Thursday, during a ceremony in the premises of the establishment in Abidjan.
The ceremony took place in the presence of Mr. Arthur Ahoussi, Deputy Director General (DGA) of the Treasury and Public Accounting of Côte d’Ivoire and Mr. Saliou Bakayoko, President of the Association of Insurance Companies ( ASACI), sponsor of the said promotion, according to a note sent to APA on Saturday.
The Professional Insurance Training Center (CPFA) is a decentralized educational unit of the International Insurance Institute (IIA) of Yaoundé. On Thursday, April 22, 2021, it hosted the graduation ceremony of the 2017-2019 students at its premises in Abidjan-Cocody.
These are 18 insurance technicians that the CPFA offers to the Ivorian insurance market. These young Ivorians are now able to serve both in insurance companies, insurance intermediaries and other traditional entities.
After congratulating Mr. Pascal Néné Bi Gouré, the director of the CPFA, whose training policy is in line with the Ivorian public treasury certified to the quality standard ISO 9001 version 2015, the DGA Ahoussi wished the graduates good luck. .
“I hope that you will be quickly inserted into the economic fabric so that you will be given the opportunity to apply in the field what you have learned during two years at the CPFA”, declared the deputy director general of the Ivorian public treasury.
Convinced that quality training is one of the important levers for the development of a country, Mr. Arthur Ahoussi invited all players in the insurance market to support the CPFA in carrying out its missions.
Mr. Bakayoko, the sponsor, advised his godchildren to have two essential qualities for a successful professional career, in particular interpersonal skills and know-how, in order to better evolve in this sector where customers are very demanding.
Continuing his advice, the president of ASACI adds: “in business, be workers and behave well while being humble. It is then that you will considerably increase your chances of professional success ”.
The CPFA of Côte d’Ivoire, created in 1987, was closed in 1993. It was in April 2016 that the Ivorian government, through the Ministry of Economy and Finance and in partnership with the private sector of insurance, issued a ministerial decree opening the CPFA Côte d’Ivoire.
This center, which operates under the administrative supervision of the Public Treasury and Accounting of Côte d’Ivoire through the Insurance Department, participates in building the human capital capacities of the insurance market in the CIMA zone.
