From April 1, 2024, motorists will no longer be fined for missing an insurance sticker on their windshield. It will no longer be compulsory, indicates the government.
The sticker will be replaced by an entry in the electronic file of insured vehicles, within 72 hours after subscribing to an insurance contract.
This dematerialization of the sticker also has an ecological objective. It will avoid the emission of 1,200 tonnes of CO2 linked to the printing of green cards and the supply of glue.
