Insurance companies refuse long-covid benefits

Many people who were infected with corona also suffer months later from symptoms such as rapid exhaustion, reduced performance, breathing, heart, skin, psychological, neuromuscular, neurological, kidney and metabolic problems. The program shows two cases of nurses who became infected at work and had problems with their health insurers in providing services. Apparently these are not isolated cases. “Insurance companies are looking for any reasons to reject cases because they may fear long-term costs,” said Pierre-André Wagner, head of the legal service of the Swiss Professional Association of Nursing Women and Nursing Specialists (SBK), in the program.
