Insufficient places: Bielefeld primary schools have to turn away children

Places in the popular primary schools in Bielefeld will also be limited again in summer. Registrations will once again exceed capacity in many places.

25 elementary schools have to turn away children, sometimes even if they live directly in the catchment area. That’s what it says in a template for the upcoming school board. As the Neue Westfälische writes, pushbacks should be sent by the beginning of February at the latest. Then parents of rejected parents have to re-enroll their children in a school. The admission certificates will then be available by the beginning of March.

To improve the situation in the future, three new primary schools are to be built in Babenhausen, Sieker and Sennestadt.
