The group Loona’s agency pointed out the issue of former member Chuu’s prior contact with the double contract and filed a complaint with the Korea Entertainment Management Association’s Reward and Punishment Adjustment Committee (hereafter referred to as the Yeonmaehyup), but the Yeonmaehyeop sided with Chuu.

According to the industry on the 4th, the Yeonmaehyup recently filed a complaint with Blockberry Entertainment (hereinafter referred to as Blockberry) requesting a ban on Chuu’s entertainment activities, claiming that Chuu and By4M Studio (hereinafter referred to as By4M) were tampering (acts of prior contact before the expiration of the contract period). Blockberry’s complaint was rejected, saying, “The evidence is insufficient.”

The KMAC practically withdrew its hand, saying that the content would be judged in the lawsuit on the main issue, which is being conducted by a judicial body, not the KMA.

Previously, Blockberry took issue with Chuu’s tempering and submitted a complaint containing a ban on entertainment activities.

The conflict between Blockberry and Chew surfaced about a year ago. In early 2022, Chew received a partial ruling in a lawsuit against Blockberry for an injunction to suspend the validity of the exclusive contract. In October of the same year, Blockberry expelled Chew from the team for ‘abuse of power’, and Chew countered that Blockberry had a settlement problem.

Chuu has filed a lawsuit against Blockberry for a provisional injunction to suspend the validity of the exclusive contract, as well as a lawsuit to confirm the non-existence of the exclusive contract. The two sides held three hearings prior to the main lawsuit, but were unable to narrow their differences and ended up fighting over legal principles in court.

Meanwhile, Heejin, Haseul, Yeojin, Kim Lip, Jinsol, Choiri, Eve, Gowon, and Olivia Hye also filed a lawsuit against Blockberry for an injunction to suspend their exclusive contracts. As a result, Heejin, Kim Lip, Jinsol, and Choiri prevailed, but Haseul, Yeojin, Eve, Olivia Hye, and Gowon lost the case. Members Bibi and Hyunjin did not file a lawsuit.
