The Czech motorcycle racer Filip Salač was unable to turn the victory in qualifying into a good result in Sunday’s German Grand Prix of the Moto3 class, and with a slow motorcycle he finally ran into the pits.
From the start, when he was in the world pole position in his career for the first time, Salač lost to his opponents. He was fourth in the opening round, but that did not stop his decline. The Czech rider’s motorcycle was visibly slower compared to the opponents, which meant another loss of space after the place.
Soon the Rivacold Snipers Team rider dropped out of the top ten. In the tenth round, his place was even missing in the points fifteen. The suffering continued and in the end the native from Mladá Boleslav preferred to go to the pits in the 15th lap and gave up the race.
In the race full of falls, the sovereign leader of the championship Pedro Acosta from Spain won, the Japanese Kajto Toba also finished second at KTM and the third was Dennis Foggia from Italy with Honda.
Newcomer Acosta is now leading by 54 points, his biggest rival and compatriot Sergio Garcia finished sixth on Sunday. Salač has 35 buildings on his account and is currently thirteenth.
The leader of the series also finished in the Moto2 category for victory. The third year this year was won by the Australian Remy Gardner. His rival in the fight for the title and at the same time teammate Raul Fernandez fell after contact with one of the opponents and loses 36 points.
Aron Canet from Spain finished second, losing a full six seconds, and Italian Marco Bezzecchi also took the podium.
The championship continues on June 27 in Assen, the Netherlands, then the competitors and team members will have a month’s break.
