Born of an unknown father, the singer was born by his mother, Madeleine Lenormand, in the maternity ward of the Château de Bénouville. At the time, the mother of Gérard Lenorman was only 16 years old, which explains why she went to an establishment where nuns welcomed young women in difficulty. It was only 35 years later that the musician learned that he was the son of a German soldier named Erich, violinist and conductor in civilian lifewho was part of the occupation troops during the Second World War.

Gérard Lenorman: an exceptional career that began in the late 1960s

It was at the age of 12 that Gérard Lenorman wrote his very first song.which will appear a few years later on his first album: The Vagabond. He then joined a few local orchestras as a singer around the age of 14. Two years later, the budding young musician emancipated himself and started working at the factory, while performing in the evening in regional balls in parallel, then at Club Méditerranée.
