Instagram Introduces Scheduled Direct Messages: Plan Yoru DMs

Instagram users in the U.S. can now schedule their direct messages (DMs) for later delivery, a new feature that’s rolling out to users worldwide.This long-awaited update allows for pre-planned communication, offering convenience and strategic advantages for various users.
The rollout, initially spotted and shared on social media, was later confirmed by Meta.To use this feature,simply compose your message and instead of tapping the send button,hold it down. A calendar will appear, allowing you to select the exact date and time for delivery. You can even schedule multiple messages at once, for individual users or group chats. Your device’s time zone will automatically be used.
Currently, there’s a 29-day limit on scheduling messages. While you can’t edit a scheduled message after it’s set, you can easily view your scheduled messages within a conversation by tapping the new “scheduled messages” tab. From there, you can choose to send the message instantly, copy it, or delete it entirely.
A key limitation is that the feature currently only supports text messages. Images, videos, GIFs, and other media will still need to be sent in real-time. This functionality, however, opens up exciting possibilities for various users.
