An awful lot of 1,806 images have reached the Instagram of this newspaper. The vast majority had an award quality and many have even been officially disseminated by the official Cordópolis channel on Instagram, but a first screening had to be done. Of the 1,800, 210 were officially selected to compete for one of the three prizes in the running.
This Thursday, a jury made up of the graphic managers of this newspaper met to deliberate and decide which could be the winning image of the most special patio contest, that of the centenary of the contest (of patios, not photos, although we aspire to it, Hey?).

The first prize has gone to the hands of the user @juanluisseco. The jury has decided that his image is “a good composition” that has succeeded in highlighting “the loneliness of the caretaker of a patio at nightfall after a day of visits.” In fact, the prominence of these people has been highlighted, who keep the flame of a contest that has turned 100 years alive. The winner will receive an iPad or tablet from which they can see a large part of their work (or whatever they want, of course). For the second and third there will be gift vouchers at El Corte Inglés. But who are they?
The second prize it is for the user @ karloss2006 for “an exquisite composition making the light beam coincide with the diagonal of the staircase”, as highlighted by the jury, who has valued “the very correct exposure where the whites have texture and in the shadow it is left intuit the objects that complete the photograph “.
Finally, the Third award It is for the user @rafambfotografia who in this second year of the pandemic has given prominence to a person with a mask inside a patio.
