Instagram is one of the most popular social networks in the world. The US platform, owned by Facebook Inc, was born as a photographic and video tool, but over the years it has expanded its functions. Currently, there are around 1.2 billion active Instagram accounts around the world.
–
That same popularity has forced Instagram to develop multiple functions and optimize existing ones to enhance the user experience on the platform. But, what happens when the app generates certain errors. One of the most common is that don’t let you add music to your Instagram Stories.
–
In that frame, there are several actions to take to solve the problem:
–
- Update your app. Many times, some Instagram features are not available because you need the latest version of the tool. Enter your download store and see if you do not have any pending updates.
- Eliminate the cache. You have to enter Settings (on your device), Applications. There you look for Instagram and it will allow you to enter “Storage and Cache”. After that, force close the app and open Instagram again.
- Uninstall and install new. Sometimes you have to make drastic decisions. Last option, try this.
Protect your Instagram account from future hacks
Although the Facebook app has security measures like all the platforms of the large technology company, Instagram does not escape the risk of being compromised. If you want to avoid future hacks of your account of this social network, I followed these tips:
- Change your password frequently. Do it at least every two months.
- Avoid repeating passwords, even with those of other platforms.
- Turn on two-step authentication for Instagram.
- Confirm that the email and phone number associated with your account are correct.
- Check your Instagram account logins in the Account Center.
- Revoke the access of third-party app that you do not recognize and that have access to your account.
- Do not click on links sent by unknown accounts.
