In July, Instagram implemented several major changes to make the app focus more on recommendations and video.
Something that received strong criticism from users who accused Instagram of trying to be Tiktok. Instagram subsequently chose to roll back the changes.
But now Instagram’s CEO, Adam Mosseri, says that Instagram will nevertheless introduce a slightly smaller change in the form of new ultra-tall photos that have the 9:16 aspect ratio, reports The Verge. Today, the highest possible aspect ratio on Instagram is roughly 4:5.
