Instagram Updates Daily Reminder Option Feature, What’s Changed? : Okezone techno

JAKARTA – One of Meta’s subsidiaries, Instagramlaunched a new update for the daily time limit feature, what has changed?

Processed from The Verge, Tuesday (22/02/2022), Instagram apparently removed the daily time limit feature of under 30 minutes from its application, after previously the service was available.

Now, the minimum duration for the daily reminder is only 30 minutes and the maximum is three hours.

Previously, the daily reminder option on Instagram had a minimum usage duration of 10 minutes and has been around since 2018.

When the feature is selected and activated by the user, the user will be automatically removed from Instagram if it exceeds the specified duration.

As for now, the daily reminder has several choices of duration options ranging from 30 minutes, 45 minutes, one hour, two hours, and three hours.

Meta, which developed Instagram, has not yet responded to comments about the change.

Regarding the daily reminder feature, basically Instagram wants people to spend effective time on their application.

The presence of this feature, in fact, coincides with many criticisms of technology companies because it has an effect on the behavior of users who become dependent.

“We want to empower people to make wise decisions especially in how much time they spend,” Instagram co-director Ameet Ranadive said in 2018.
