Instagram is testing the feature of sharing links via stickers.

HAI-Online.com – The feature of adding links or links to Instagram stories so far can only be enjoyed by users with a minimum number of 10,000 followers through the swipe up feature.
But there is good news for you ordinary users. The problem is that Instagram is currently testing the add link feature in stories.
Even so, the new swipe up method is different from the current one, namely through a ‘linking sticker’ which can be accessed with one tap.
So, the sticker will function the same as if we swipe up on the screen to open the user-shared link.

Interestingly, other users can also respond to stories that contain the link sticker, something that does not exist in the swipe up link feature.
Unfortunately for now the trial of the new feature only covers a small number of users.
To The Verge, Instagram’s head of product Vishal Shah revealed that the trial was conducted to learn how people can take advantage of the links.
They will monitor the types of links users upload while keeping an eye on misinformation and spam.
Vishal Shah said that stickers fit better with the way people use the platform today.
He adds that the link sticker is Instagram’s ultimate goal, be it for everyone or only people who already have the link rights.
“That’s the kind of future system we want to achieve,” he said. “And that’s what we hope to launch, if we make it happen,” he said.

Unfortunately, he didn’t indicate the link sharing feature could be available in feeds. So, the link sharing feature will only be available for Instagram story.
