There’s no denying that Instagram has been encouraging more and more users to create Reels, and now there may be another feature focused on exactly that.
According to recent findings, the platform appears to create a series of “Achievements” for those who complete certain tasks within the reels. These trophies would be awarded for the most varied tasks and are intended to encourage users not only to use the platform, but also to create content for it.
According to the programmer’s discovery Alessandro Paluzzi, the feature still appears to be in development and it is not yet known when it will actually be available, if at all. However, it will be a new idea of Meta to try to entice users to create more content on Reels.
The trophies would only be visible to the users themselves, within their profiles. Therefore, there is no way to “compare” them simply by logging into an account. But the basic idea will be to encourage the use of the platform and the creation of new content to attract new audiences.
Whether the functionality will be enough to entice users to use the platform more remains to be seen. However, the vast majority of users like challenges and if Meta manages to create something that can encourage the achievement of a certain goal, it may have a success formula to help create new content for the service.
Additionally, these trophies can then be added to the Reels partner program, which would theoretically allow creators to earn more from their content, depending on the popularity of the content.
Whether this will affect the experience beyond creators remains to be seen, since much of the platform also passes through regular users, who only log in to see the content created – and in this area, at least for now, there is still. no motivation to do so.
