LIMAPAGI – Instagram announced that it is developing a prototype of a new Stories feature. Instead of swiping left and right, the new tested display can be shifted vertically.
Of course, scrolling the timeline vertically (top to bottom) is similar to scrolling content on Instagram’s competitor, TikTok.
Social media consultant, Matt Navarra, revealed the vertical Stories display via his Twitter account.

Navarra said a number of users in Turkey had already discovered the new Instagram Stories design. This design is said to be still being tested on a number of users in the country.
In the video uploaded by Navarra, at first glance there are no significant changes to Instagram Stories. It’s just that when users want to move Stories, they now use the up-down swipe mechanism.
Launching from Tech Radar, Friday (14/1/2022) besides Turkey, another country that also got the vertical swipe test was Brazil.
