VIVA – Feature Instagram Stories doesn’t seem to be working properly. For some users they have to look back at all the stories of the accounts they follow, even though the content has been viewed before.
Meta, Instagram’s parent, said they were aware of an issue where some people had difficulty accessing Instagram Stories.
“Instagram is working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience,” said Meta spokeswoman Christine Pai.
The root of the problem may be that Instagram doesn’t remember where the user last viewed Stories, quoting from the page The VergeWednesday, June 15, 2022.
For example, if one of the accounts you follow posts five stories and has seen four of them, then when you re-open Instagram, the user will again see the same Stories from the first order.
It is currently unknown how many users were affected. There are a lot of people on Twitter who have reported that they had to rewatch the story.
