The Instagram social networking site is back online again after hours-long disruptions worldwide, according to the company. On Sunday, Down Detector, a website that tracks crashes, reported receiving 56,628 reports at around 11pm (2200GMT), according to Britain’s BA Media.
A map of the “Down Detector” site showed that the faults are spread throughout the United Kingdom, with reports of outages coming from the United States and Australia as well. Instagram said at 0119 a.m. Monday that the issue causing the crashes had been resolved.
The photo and video-sharing service appeared to be online again just before 1 a.m. Monday. According to Down Detector, 92% of outages were on the app, 6% through the website and 2% when logged in.
Instagram went offline on March 9, with thousands of users reporting similar issues.
