Instagram has reopened the account of journalist Cristina Fallarás after having been closed “automatically” this morning by the social network for about three hours, and given the avalanche of complaints received, the affected person explained to Efe.
The journalist Cristina Fallarás denounced this Saturday that the social network Instagram closed her account without having been warned in advance, a few days after she published the first anonymous accusation of sexist violence against the Spanish politician Iñigo Errejón.
“The management of Meta España called me to tell me that it had been an automatic account closure, probably due to the accumulation of complaints and they apologized to me,” he added.
The journalist has acknowledged that she cannot yet manage the account because it will take some time until it is available again, as she has been informed by Meta, but “it is already visible.”
“The important thing is that all the messages, complaints, testimonies are there,” added the journalist.
«Those responsible for Meta have been very quick in solving the problem; “They have apologized to me and have acknowledged that the closure was not due to breaking any platform regulations.”
