CUPERTINO, iNews.id – Instagram started inserting ads on Reels, a TikTok-like service. The ad will appear similar to regular content, covering one full screen, repeating, and being 30 seconds long, and appearing between other clips.
Compared to regular content, paid ones will have their characteristics. Ads that appear will be identified by a small “sponsored” tag under the advertiser’s account name.
The Facebook-owned photo-sharing company began testing ads on a limited basis in Australia, Brazil, Germany and India in April. Unfortunately, there’s nothing surprising about ads appearing more and more within the Instagram app.
Because the company just wants to turn this new format into a revenue generator. Facebook also said this week it would be bringing ads to the Oculus Quest app.
