AKURAT.CO, Instagram plans to further test the ability to hide the number of ‘likes’ or likes among its users. This is to see if removing the potential source of popularity anxiety makes social networking a more enjoyable place.
Instagram itself started a test that will allow users to hide the number of likes on posts in 2019. Now Instagram wants to expand that experiment even further, reported from Slash Gear, Thursday (15/4).

The test was carried out accidentally earlier this year. Instagram is enabling a hidden likes feature for a large number of people who spark concern. This plan was later scrapped, but Instagram argued that some users responded favorably, especially speaking of their mental health.
This problem usually occurs among younger Instagram users. Instagram users who are still ambitious about catching up to popularity on the app and even grapple that the number of likes on their posts is addicting.
