Instagram launches Notes service and tests other tools: DNOTICAS.PT

Instagram today announced the launch of the Notes service, a new way to share short messages, and said it’s testing other tools, including Candid Stories, which lets you capture an image with both cameras on your phone.

The Notas service is a way to share text messages and ’emojis’ with followers and groups of followers, said Meta, owner of Instagram, in a statement.

The short texts appear for 24 hours at the top of the message box of the recipients, who can reply, as with ‘stories’.

According to the social network, the tool satisfies the desire of many users to have an easy way to share what they are thinking and start conversations, for example by asking for advice or reporting something they are doing.

Instagram also plans to give the ability to create group profiles, so that multiple people can share images and videos with each other, without them being seen by all followers.

The company also announced it’s testing a tool called Candid Stories, something similar to Candid Stories, that will allow users to capture and share images of what they’re doing in that moment with other contacts who are doing it.

After posting their first Candid Stories, users will receive a daily notification to share a new image.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the functionality is similar to that offered by the BeReal application, which has gained a lot of popularity recently, with a focus on more spontaneous images, which include an image taken with the phone’s front and rear cameras.

In this way, users – who regularly receive notifications to share images – often show themselves and what they are looking at at that moment.
