Instagram is exploring a new feature that will, if it works as expected, allow users to pin posts to the top of their profile grid.
The feature will still be in the testing phase and should only be available to selected users.
As advanced by TechCrunch, Instagram is exploring a new feature that will allow users to pin posts to the top of their profile grid. Those who have been selected by the platform, find the feature in the “Place on profile” option, available from the three dots in the upper right corner of the publications.

A spokesperson for Meta told TechCrunch.
Currently, users have Highlights available, which allow them to post stories on their profile. However, this new feature being tested by Instagram will give the possibility to highlight specific posts, which will be posted at the top of the profile grid.
According to Digital Trends, the tests come several months after engineer Alessandro Paluzzi revealed that Instagram was developing a similar idea.

Although it can be an asset for many users who use the platform in a professional way, the functionality is still in the testing phase and, therefore, it may take some time to be launched, or not at all.
In addition to this, the Instagram will also be testing a new feature that will make it easier for users to discover, as well as support, social causes through hashtags.
