The TECNOEDU Chair, in response to the current need for digital literacy in the classroom, launches the workshop Instagram in the classrooms. The objective of this course is to provide the secondary education teachers the necessary tools and resources that will allow them to implement the Instagram social network. The social network will be approached as a pedagogical tool with a gender perspective in its classrooms.
Social networks, in addition to allowing access to large amounts of information and connecting between different users, have didactic potential for the development of digital skills. In addition, these networks also influence the construction of personal identity. Aware of its importance, from the TECNOEDU Chair we launched this workshop five sessions and totally free.
A practical online training
Laura Acosta Valentine will be in charge of providing the enrolled students, from a participatory dynamic. Necessary strategies will be presented to know implement and adapt the use of this social network from the classroom, making use of activities that will allow participants to understand the use and management of this social network.
The contents of the workshop have been designed to help teachers understand the scope of this social network in the lives of youth, as well as provide them with strategies and resources to use Instagram as a pedagogical tool with a gender perspective in classrooms.
The program, with a duration of 30 hours, will be developed in online mode of the October 27 to November 10, and will offer a certification to those who pass the assessment.
