Cristiano Ronaldo yesterday became the first person to reach 500 million followers on Instagram. It therefore consolidates the second place among the most followed accounts behind the same @Instagram page which has 569 million followers.
Right at the foot of the podium of the most followed accounts we find a trio of Americans made up of reality star and influencer Kylie Jenner, first woman in the standings, with 372 million subscribers. She is followed by actor Dwayne “the rock” Johnson and his 348 million subscribers, as well as artist Ariana Grande followed by 340 million people.
Currently in Qatar with his national team to play his fifth World Cup, Cristiano Ronaldo could, by winning the competition, gain even more followers and continue to break all records. Portugal will play their first match on Thursday 24 November at 17:00 against Ghana.
