Instagram could send 2FA codes to WhatsApp

Instagram users surely know that they can secure their account with 2FA. In other words: In addition to the username and password, another factor is necessary, the so-called one-time password (OTP). These codes could possibly also be sent by the service provider via WhatsApp if the user decides to do so – but the whole thing is optional.

When you log in to Instagram for the first time, you would receive the required code as a WhatsApp message. The fact that the function was discovered in an early version of the Instagram client does not mean that it will appear soon – or at all. Companies try things out all the time – and many never end up with customers.

Amazon links are included in this article. Clicking on it will take you directly to the provider. Should you decide to buy there, we will receive a small commission. Nothing changes in the price for you.
