Meta’s social network will bring a small change to your profile: you will be able to add music that will play there… but not automatically.
The English language magazine The Verge makes the comparison between this new feature from Instagram and a platform that smells of the early 2000s: MySpace. As on the latter, in fact, it will be possible to put music on your Instagram profile. A small distinction that will make all the difference however: it will not play automatically: it will be up to the person who is consulting the profile to choose whether they want the music to play or not, and they will be able to pause it at any time.
This new feature is mainly for Meta the pretext for a commercial collaboration with the American musical artist Sabrina Carpenter, on the occasion of the release of her latest album, “Short n’ Sweet”, which is out today. If you should be able to choose songs from almost any artist as a “profile soundtrack”, it is indeed the song “Taste” by the singer that was chosen to introduce the new feature to the general public.
This feature will be accessible to you by clicking on “edit profile”, and this new feature is available now.
