Instagram has introduced new text tools that let you create a grid that better reflects your personality. First, you can now overlay your photos and add text as stickers to achieve the look you want. First, select an image, then tap the Text button to write text over it in your preferred font. If you want to overlay multiple images, tap the Gallery button in the top right corner of the screen. You can then change the shape of the sticker, which can contain text or another image, to a square, circle, heart, or star by tapping it.
Speaking of text you can add to your photos, Instagram is adding new fonts that you can use in the app. You can combine these fonts with the new animations and effects the app is also adding to spice up your feeds and stories. Earlier this month, Instagram doubled the number of photos and videos that can be shared in a carousel post. Instead of 10, you can now upload up to 20 files, giving you an easy way to add more photo material to your account. With these new features, you can personalize your photo dumps and perhaps use them as an outlet for your creativity… Much like Myspace users were able to personalize their profiles. In fact, Instagram also recently announced a feature that lets you add a song to your profile—a feature Myspace was known for in the early days of social media.
