Instagram ad-free? (Facebook, advertising)

Two months ago I spontaneously, without thinking, pressed the button that Facebook kindly offered me – and since then I have been desperately trying to escape from this annoying loop, unfortunately so far without success.

It’s annoying because I now get all the Insta messages as duplicates on FB – and even if I had already read them on Insta, they still appear as unread on FB, where they then have to be marked as read, but through Their stay continues to affect the overview, especially since I write to a completely different group of people on Insta than on FB

Not for the first time, I had recently spent 2 hours on Google looking for clues as to how I could get rid of this epidemic, but even from well-known sites such as Vodafone or Giga there was no working clue and the clues may relate to FB or Insta interfaces that have since been changed and therefore no longer work?

In the Insta app (iPhone) the instructions said:

||| > Settings > Account > Linked Accounts > Unlink

I’ve tried it 11-17 times, but it doesn’t work.

I searched wildly for the settings in the FB app (iPhone), but to no avail and I couldn’t find any information about how to get there via Google – only information for FB apps that were probably current 2-3 years ago .

For the FB site on the PC (Windows 10) it says:

Triangle > Settings > Apps & websites > Delete shortcut

It’s just stupid that it says “Active: 0” under ‘Apps & Websites’, so nothing is entered and nothing appears to delete. I then entered ‘Instagram’ in the search there, but with no results and just as if my FB wasn’t linked to Insta at all. (See screenshot)

The dilemma has already been repeatedly reported in writing to FB ‘Help & Support’ and asked for a solution, but I’m still waiting for an answer, help or remedy.

Who can give me useful tips on my dilemma (which I’m sure plagues many others)?

LG, Manfred
