INSPQ Launches New Online Training Program: Health Equity

INSPQ is pleased to announce the launch of a new online public health training program entitled: Health equity. This is a complementary training to the basic training Working in public health in Quebec.

This training is intended for new employees who contribute to the deployment of public health services or actions, at the MSSS, in the CISSS/CIUSSS and at the INSPQ.

It mainly aims to deepen knowledge and develop skills on taking into account the determinants of health and social inequalities in health by addressing various levers and tools to promote health equity.

General objectives :

  • Represent the social determinants of health (DSS) and social inequalities in health (ISS) using concrete examples.
  • Explain the contribution of public health in the process of developing healthy public policies.
  • Describe the main levers supporting the consideration of SDH and SIH in healthy public policies (including health impact assessment (HIA) and articles 53, 54, and 55 of the Law on public health).

  • The ESPUM and the INSPQ recognize in this activity a maximum of 0.2 CEUs for the completed 2-hour training.
  • It is possible for any participant to obtain official continuing education recognition issued by ESPUM and INSPQ.
