Pure C went from two to zero stars at the presentation of the Michelin stars in the Netherlands last April. Whether that has an influence on Herman’s decision is unclear. He himself says that he “wants to continue to inspire himself”.
“After fifteen years I feel that I am in danger of repeating myself. And that is not in my Zeeland nature. With that ultimate passion for cooking, I also have other wishes, such as making more time for my family, children and friends, more travel and take a leap into international projects such as in Asia.”
