The Education Inspectorate has filed a complaint against a director of the SvPO (School for Personal Education) school group. He is said to have committed one or more criminal offenses, reports Omrop Fryslân.
The inspectorate has not yet announced what exactly it is about, but says it has to do with the housing of the schools and the transactions related to it.
The SvPO has eight branches in the Netherlands, including one in Hardegarijp in Friesland. These are secondary schools with classes of a maximum of sixteen students.
Very weak
The Education Inspectorate has been monitoring the SvPO for some time. Last year, the organization came under stricter supervision. The locations in Amsterdam, Hoorn and Utrecht were assessed as very weak. The Inspectorate also encountered financial risks and supervision was not in order. The foundation tried to prevent publication of the assessment, but the judge rejected that claim.
The SvPO board is now also trying to prevent the publication of the study into financial policy through the courts. Therefore, the conclusions have not yet been made public. The Education Inspectorate only does this if the judge has no objection.
