Prosecutors said the former West Sumatra Police Chief Inspector General Teddy Minahasa ordered the former Bukittinggi Police Chief AKBP Dody Prawiranegara to take evidence sabu 10 thousand grams or 10 kg, then exchanged with alum. The prosecutor said AKBP Dody then exchanged 5,000 grams of methamphetamine or 5 kg.
“The defendant asked the witness Syamsul Ma’arif to find 5,000 grams of alum, even though what the witness Teddy Minahasa Putra asked the defendant to take 10,000 grams of evidence, then exchange it for alum, then witness Syamsul Ma’arif agreed to the request from the defendant and will seek 5,000 grams of alum,” said the prosecutor when reading Dody’s indictment at the West Jakarta District Court, Wednesday (1/2/2023).
On June 12, 2022, according to the prosecutor, Dody notified Teddy via text message, the contents of which involved destroying the methamphetamine evidence revealed by the Bukittinggi Police. On June 14 2022, Dody’s colleague named Syamsul Ma’arif came to Dody’s office carrying 5 kg of alum. Syamsul then exchanged the methamphetamine for the alum he was carrying.
“On June 14, 2022 at around 12.00 WIB, the witness Syamsul Ma’arif came to the Defendant’s office carrying a black bag containing 5,000 grams of alum, which the witness Syamsul Ma’arif bought through a shop platform. online Tokopedia, as well as witness Syamsul Ma’arif also brought a small crowbar,” said the prosecutor.
“Furthermore, the defendant left his office, then headed to the Bukittinggi Police Hall, and after the Defendant returned to the Bukittinggi Police Chief’s office, some of the 5,000 gram methamphetamine-type narcotic evidence that was in the crate had been exchanged by the witness Syamsul Ma’arif with alum and a crate. the initial storage area for methamphetamine-type narcotics looks neat as before,” he continued.
Doddy was charged with selling confiscated methamphetamine
Dody Prawiranegara was charged with offering, buying, selling and intermediary for class I narcotics, not plants sabu confiscated goods weighing more than 5 grams. This act was carried out by Doddy and three other people, one of whom was the former West Sumatra Regional Police Chief Inspector General Teddy Minahasa.

Doddy was charged with Article 114 paragraph 2 subsidiary Article 112 paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 55 of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics.
