/ world today news/ Inspections of buildings renovated under the National Energy Efficiency Program begin.
In order to increase control over the selected contractors under the program, on May 10, the Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Nikolay Nankov sent a letter to the municipal and regional administrations, as well as to the National Association of Municipalities in the Republic of Bulgaria with a recommendation to carry out periodic inspections of the completed sites , including representatives of the owners’ associations. In the letter, it is recommended that even if defects or poor performance are found, they should be removed by the relevant contractor and at his expense within the agreed warranty period for the completed construction and assembly works for a building renovated with funds from the National Program.
The first inspection ordered by Nankov will be carried out by relevant Deputy Minister Malina Krumova on site in Mezdra. The signal there is from the residential block, rehabilitated under the national program, in which a leak appeared due to rainfall during the renovation works that had begun.
