Inspections for unfair practices in organized tourist trips begin – 2024-04-27 10:11:22

The first new inspections for unfair practices in organized tourist trips for the upcoming active season are already a fact.

They were carried out by inspectors of the Ministry of Tourism together with the Commission for Consumer Protection, the Executive Agency “Automotive Administration” (IAAA), the National Revenue Agency (NAA) and the Economic Police.

In the wee hours of Friday, 8 buses traveling to Turkey were checked.

An inspection was carried out of the tour operators – travel organizers for the legal performance of their activities.

At two of the inspected tour operators, a certificate for carrying out tour operator activity and a valid “Liability of the tour operator” insurance was not provided.

Vouchers issued to tourists were not presented by one of the checked. Irregular tour operators are required to submit the missing documents to the KZP within the legally established deadline.

The IAAA did not find any violations during the inspection of the carriers.

No violations were found among the inspected persons practicing the profession of tour guide.

The surprise inspections of the control authorities, in conjunction with the Ministry of Tourism, will continue in the coming months. The representatives of the industry themselves demanded more regulation and control against illegal practices and the gray sector in tourism.
