PSSI Chairman Erick Thohir revealed that one of the points that must be addressed according to FIFA is related to improved access and infrastructure.

“Such as the discussion with the Regional Government of DKI, Jakpro, PUPR, yesterday which I also reported later that Jakpro and PUPR will consolidate to improve access and infrastructure,” said Erick at a press conference at the Bung Karno Main Stadium, Jakarta, last Wednesday (2/8/ 2023).

Collect CNN Indonesia, another thing that must be addressed according to FIFA is the matter of grass. Erick revealed that this recommendation from FIFA was immediately followed up.

“About the grass [diurus] Jakpro, about the crossing, it’s PUPR. This is what I heard, but should be confirmed next week. Access to the toll road from Jasa Marga, BUMN helps. Of course these accesses will be a record of FIFA,” he said.

Erick said that from the start proposing JIS as the location for the 2023 U-17 World Cup there were risks that had to be faced. However, with 100 days to the opening, everything can be prepared.

“Yes, to be sure [akses JIS] Ready. Indeed, this is what I said there is a risk, because it’s 100 days away, but yes, we have to try to maximize it,” said Erick.

To improve grass and JIS access, PSSI will be assisted by FIFA. There will also be consultants from Europe and Australia.

“FIFA itself has assistance from consultants from Australia. Later on August 26, a team from Australia and Europe will come, a total of 15 people, to make sure this is the field,” he explained.
