The inspectorate will investigate the deaths and examine whether there is a possible link with the coronavirus. The inspectorate will do this at the request of Minister Hugo de Jonge (Public Health), he said this afternoon after the cabinet meeting.
“Very sad”
De Jonge: “We should not draw conclusions too quickly, because people also die from the flu.” The minister said that many nursing homes in the Netherlands were hit hard. “That is very sad.”
