The National Institute of Seismology, Volcanology, Meteorology and Hydrology (Insivumeh) presented its meteorological outlook for this week, reporting that there will be cold dawns nationwide. Likewise, on Thursday and Friday the pressure will increase as a result of the cold front No. 18 of the season.
In the first instance, for Monday the 26th, experts predict the influence of high pressure, which will favor the predominance of moderate, occasionally strong northerly winds that can reach values between 30 and 40 km/h. This will be more accelerated in mountainous sectors or with canyons, low temperatures will remain in the West and Central Highlands as well as a cold dawn nationwide.
They emphasize that the entry of humidity from the Caribbean Sea will favor partial cloudiness locally in the Caribbean with isolated rains/drizzles in the afternoon or evening hours.
“For its part, for Tuesday the 27th and Wednesday the 28th the high pressure system will gradually decrease, therefore, warm and sunny conditions will prevail, few clouds most of the day and clear in hours of the night and early morning, slight increase in temperature,” they point out.
As the weekend approaches, meteorologists indicate that on Thursday, February 29 and Friday, March 1, an increase in atmospheric pressure and possibly the influence of cold front No. 18 is expected again, so cloudiness will increase. from the north to the center of the country, without ruling out some areas in the south of the country.
